We can refine PS3 numbers a little more as Sony gave GfK LTD at the end of July: "in excess of 9,000 units have been sold in New Zealand since the March 07 launch". I'll just use the 9,000 figure as even though it says "in excess" I doubt it was much over, otherwise Sony would have said "almost 10,000" or something similar.

2007
March
PlayStation 3 - 4,835
April - July
PlayStation 3 - 4184 (1,046/Month)
August - October
PlayStation 3 - 4,322 (1,441/Month)
November
PlayStation 3 - 1,831
LTD to end of November
PlayStation 3 - 15,172
This is quite useful as we can see what kind of affect the Starter pack had on sales as it launched immediately after the 9,000 figure was given. Unfortunately the following period also includes October, when the 40Gb was launched, so it's difficult to know which had the bigger impact on sales. Either way, sales don't seem to have increased as much as they did in some European countries. This is probably due to the 60Gb not receiving a price drop as it did in Europe.
Edit:
I found the exact LTD figure for the end of July - 9,019, so as I suspected, not much higher than 9,000. Figures adjusted anyway.
