I know I will probably get beaten, locked in the closet, or put on some kind of suspension for asking but why was it when X360 sales were brought into question a few months back based on what they said they had sold (we all know they track the same as PS3 and Wii) and X360 got a boost but when recent proof from Sony says they are at roughly half a million units sold they don't get the same treatment?

I haven't posted anything in a few months but have been reading daily. I love this site for the information it provides and the overall pretty cool community. I won't be leaving as regardless of what happens I will continue to read and visit but I don't understand why the above has occurred. Yes we all know I love Sony and the PS3. I know many of you think brand loyalty is retarded or some other wonderful descriptive term. It is still a VERY common occurrence in the marketing world, although I agree it is fading. I am entitled to have this opinion and I respect others who don't. I personally do have many issues with the company known as Microsoft but I don't wish the X360 (or fans of it) ill will. I even *gasp* call some of them friend.

Anyway, I am just a tad irritated to see the confusing logic used to deal with sales on here at times, BUT I still respect the heck out of you guys who put the numbers together, it is a lot of tireless and thankless work you do. I just don't get how Sony can state the number (which VG was very close to) and then it be ignored unlike what happened with X360 not too long ago.  Just something I had to say. Sorry to have bored anyone who came to my thread
