It's mostly the release list. Splinter Cell was fun, but it wasn't really an epic month.
But I do think that like it or not we have entered the backend of this gen. The wow-factor is gone, and the systems are fairly well optimized for. The only chance that this gen may have more than a few more years is if Natal and Move take off in a BIG way. Anything less and I expect to see a new Xbox in fall 2012.
