The whole PC piracy argument is the biggest BS fallacy and pretty clear scapegoating. As somebody who spent the time to make my Wii and 360 region free, I know that modding a console to play backups is trivial.

If you think piracy on a PC is easier, consider that the PC is always facing some new form of insane DRM. But with the console model the DRM is mostly pre-baked and rarely updated. Many new DRMed games can only be played on 360 until somebody cracks them for PC. If you want to play a pirated version online, once again the better option is the console.

If you still don't believe me check out the top 100 of any torrent site, look at the seeder/leechers. Piracy is huge on console. Any unethical 14 year old could do it in a few hours. The era of softmods (non-modchipping) are here in a big way, and publishers are insane if they think going console will shield them.

If you ask me it's a case of "blame the wii". Instead of examining whats wrong on the market lets pick on the smallest community.
