Well, don't get me wrong: I would love to see FF8 and FF9 as well. The thing is I can pick up those two games and enjoy them just fine as they are; FF7 not so much. FF7 is a great game for the mid-90's, but it didn't really age well. FF7 could really shine if they knocked off the rust and gave it some nice new fresh components. I don't see how a remake experience of FF8 or FF9 could be as much improved over their originals.
I suppose FF8 could use a remake of the 3D characters since they do look kind of pixely when on the map, but it's not nearly as much as FF7 needs it.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
