OT: There's supposed to be a patch for day 1. I'm guessing it will address some of the issue, though I could careless either way. The beta solidified my purchase.

I don't know.  PS1 had some pretty long load times, but they used to try to cover them up with cool cut scenes and stuff. 

The PS3 should follow the PS1's lead.
