Unfortunately I couldn't be against it from day one, I was 11 years old. Caring about the economy still escaped me at that age, I just wanted to ride my bike.
But to be honest, given the circumstances starting a couple of years ago (pound rapidly dropping against other currencies, Collapse of the banking industry, rapidly growing deficit, etc) I think it is easy to see how I could support joining it. I was wrong though, and I can admit that now.
