Keeps FF and SE in the minds of gamers, even though they have no intention of ever releasing any. |
Seconded.
Just like predicting huge (over the top) sales is just a marketing trick.
Instead of bothering with remakes, make up some new stories, alternate the old battle-systems and bring out an 'old school' cheap to produce FF game.
I don't mind playing sprites and watch some stunning CGI in between for example.
Make it 15 bucks on Psn, Live and Steam and bam... in come more millions

They have, its called Final fantasy: 4 Warriors of the Light & it did 'ok" in japan, not million

Ah how could i forget...
But actually i was referring to the console-side of FF's. And selling 230.000 copies does bring in millions... Any word on reviews for that game?

Not really but I was listening to this podcast, apparently the battle system is like FF13 but slower. I have no idea how that works. Otherwise it has a feeling of an old skool FF.
The amazon Japan reviews are good, most have given it 4 stars

and on consoles they could do it, but I don't think they want to. By old school do you mean FF9 type? or just turn based?
