Shouldn't limited government kind of include not being able to arrest you indefinitely without trial because they suspect you might be an enemy of america, or demanding that you prove your citizenship or be arrested because you have an accent?

Why does it seem impossible for people who dislike the Arizona law to criticize it on the basis of what it actually says as opposed to what they imagine it says in their hysterical fantasies?

Anyway, I'd not have such a problem with a bill of this sort if we were actually put on a wartime footing. But we never have been, and so the language of this bill might sound reasonable ("for the duration of hostilities") but it basically means these powers will always be in effect. It's still not quite as egregious as Obama actually putting a hit out on an American citizen, though, and nobody seems as creeped out by that as they probably should be.

Wait... he did what?
