Better than car industry anyway, although that's not index of particularly good performances. 

 

Biggest disasters I can think of in gaming this gen = Sony's arrogance and RROD.

Which do not even compare with American Car Company buyouts + Toyota recalls.  But yea, that is not the best of comparisons :)
