He didn't exploit anything. To exploit a combat system, you need to figure out some trick that reveals a bug or a weakness not thought of when the system was created. For example, the item duplication tricks in Final Fantasy are exploits. Pressing two buttons repeatedly is not exploiting the game, it's just pressing buttons. It would be akin to playing through Final Fantasy, and just pressing A repeatedly in every battle and winning. Not only winning, but having the game do everything for you, like choosing the correct enemies to attack, casting the right spells, etc. Wait a minute, FFXII has this feature, and was heavily criticized for it! Imagine that!

Well to be fair... in FF12 you had to set your fighting system up fairly intellegently. Though my characters like half autokilled the 2nd or 3rd boss while I was in the bathroom... and I even had Van set to manual so he wasn't helping. They probably could of soloed him (doubled him?)
