The next PSP will be at E3 or at least announced at the show. That would be my best bet. To be honest if the next PSP does not launch in a competitive time to the 3DS Sony will loose all of its marketshare in the handheld market and be doomed to fail if it chooses to launch the console in 2011 or 2012.
Sony needs PSP2 in order to survive in the handheld market and they need it fast. Heck Nintendo doesn't even consider PSP the competition anymore they consider the I-Phone to be. Sony needs to take drastic action fast or have their console (PSP) go the way of the great GameGear!
