Take this in comparison to Microsoft's last reported XBLA downloads which INCLUDED all free content at 35 million (reported 25 million in March. This is an estimate), and it's very likely that Nintendo has already SOLD more Virtual Console content than Microsoft has Xbox Live Arcade content. If they are selling old games at that rate, think of how huge Wii Ware will be.... |
?????????????????????...........????????? wtf how can 9 million be greater then 35m? What math system are you using? |
You don't think free content makes up at least 80% of XBLA downloads? Free demos, trailers, etc? |
You never said complete games you just statede xbox live content, which could include all the live arcade games, their trailers and videos |
I said sold, so that you would understand I was only comparing the content that costs money, because Microsoft never separates that out. They just report the total downloads. If you want to say just a comparison of software sold I'm sure the number is strongly in Nintendo's favor. Do you see my point? It's a very impressive showing for Virtual Console to have sold 9 million + old games in only a year on the market. I think people are seriously underestimating the impact that Wii Ware is going to have on the market. If Virtual Console can push so many games, imagine what new reasonably priced games from major developers can sell like?
