"It varys case by case, in the situation with the dress, she recieved it as a gift and was thankful for it, but unfortunately it was the wrong size, so she exchanged it for a new one, nothing wrong with that. In the case with the barbie console, it's a present under the tree, you have no idea what you are getting and in this case it REALL sucks, probably from a friend you don't really like to much, you can say you got rid of it because you hate barbie."
Oh, sorry I wasn't very specific. She got a totally different dress. Initially she went to get the same dress, but longer, but then she saw something she lked much more. So, since she is happier with that choice, I'm happier too.
Also, maybe when he got the Wii, he thought that he would actually like it. Maybe he tried a couple of games and did not have much fun. The same thing happened to me. I got a Wii, because of the hype; I even bought a few games (SMG, Naruto: CNR, Wii Fit etc.) but I did not like them as much as I thought I would. Therefore, if someone were to give me a wii as a gift before buying one, I woulb be thrilled, but after playing games on it I know that although it has many awesome game, I don't have much fun playing them.
