No, anyone doubting the DS passing the PS2 isn't looking at the numbers correctly. The DS has been selling 30mil a year, and it's now only about 15 million away from the PS2. 3DS released or not, it will not take a ~70% YoY sales dip when its successor comes out, which is essentially what needs to happen for the PS2 to retain its lead.
I don't see the PS2 getting any higher than 160mil, while the DS is easily going to clear that mark.
