Thing is, W@W got very heavy and slow controls with laggy pointer (due to the stupid pointer smoothness). Similar to what happens with Killzone 2.
I would recommend you to get The Conduit to see the real Wii controls of an FPS. Metroid Prime 3 also has nice controls, but The Conduit made them perfect. You may also check Medal of Honor Heroes 2, which is the game were The Conduit devs found the most inspiration.
Apart of that, other wii shooters pretty much got heavy controls with laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggy pointer.
