Pretty much when it comes to electronics, Samsung beats Sony any day whether it be laptops, TVs, Phones, etc.

especially these days and especially when you take price into account.

Not to mention that both Samsung and LG have a wider selection of electronic goods.  Sony never made big home appliances like washing machines and refigiratiors.
