Wii's got 2 Metal Gears... on Virtual Console. In Japan. :P
Real answer is though, because Nintendo hasn't decided to make/pay for one yet. That's quite literally the only reason GC got TTS.
The best selling game Snake's ever appeared in (and likely the best selling he ever will) is on Wii though.
