lbp platforming it's physics based :p, all objects react to what you do, it's actually better. |
No, it's actually worse.
See how not putting "imho" makes me sound like an arsehole?
He didn't say "physics based" he said "accurate enough" and the floaty ass jump physics in LBP make me pissed off and I'm far from the first fan of the game to proclaim that. If you've never heard the billions of threads lamenting the jump physics in LBP either you've never been to gamefaqs, or you're just haven't talked to anyone in the games community lately.
Also, you must have never read a review of SMG(or never played the game in a close enough time frame to compare it to LBP or any other platformer for that matter), because nearly everyone praises the solid jump mechanics as the current high-water mark of the genre, a praise which seems to have followed SMG2, if early reviews are any indication.
That said "worse" is an opinion, as is "better" but if you prefer "floaty" to "solid," then you still end up with a worse platformer in LBP imho, but that's neither here nor there. There is also a lot more depth and variety in the jump mechanics in SMG, imho.
Again, LBP has strenghts, but they are not neccessarily found in its gameplay mechanics.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
