By South do you mean Area 7? It's areas 2, 3, and 4 i've searched thoroughly, and i ruled out 7 because it's blocked off, but maybe just from that direction. |
Yeah, it's in area 7. That route is blocked off I believe because it's the shortest way back to the camp when you're carrying the eggs. Now that you know where they are, unfortunately it won't make it any easier. I gave up after a dozen consecutive failures on that damn quest, just left it and moved on. As far as I know it's not necessary to complete it, unless it unlocks other quests that I'm unaware of.
