With every genre , the general public associates a game character as the poster boy/girl of that respective genre and as such here is what I think are the faces of some genres...
*Note Genres arent divided into sub-catagories (ex JRPG's and WRPG's are just RPG's)
Shooters-Master Chief
Racing - Mario
Platforming-Mario
RPG's- Cloud
Action- Lara Croft
Action-Adventure-Link
