Nintendo needs to make a Mario Universe FPS as a new IP

Mario uses every tool.  He uses a water gun in Super Mario Sunshine. 

There are creative solutions to this problem.  It could be a paintball game or a foodfight or some other idea.  I do agree that it is not likely though.
