"Nope, that shows that it is better to back up your opinion with Correlation, than backing your opinion with nothing."

But that is for when there isn't much to go by other than correlation. Just applying correlation when there are more factors to take into account is the issue.

"They also buy brands, FF got big in the west because of it's graphics, soundtrack and Sony's 100 million campaign, Kingdom Hearts got big in the west because FF+Disney = sales, now... DQ, got big in Japan because of the gameplay, but... it didn't get big in the west, guess why?"

That doesn't mean the gameplay turns people off. Again there are other factors you have to apply, like the series never having the kind of push FFVII and KH got in the west.

"Nope, I said that I don't give a shit about them, which means, guess what? I don't give a shit about them, you chose to interpert it however you wanted to."

No, you couldn't have "said" that because this is a message board, so you can only type. And you did not write those words, you wrote other words, so claiming otherwise is a lie.

"Okay, so are you saying that since there are dozens of RPG games out this gen (and most of them are on the Wii), the creators of Xenoblade shouldn't apply to the RPG crowd?"

No, you are claiming the RPG crowd is something other than what I mean.

"Warcraft is a MMORPG, it isn't a solitary, story based experience, it's a social, gameplay based game that's based on a huge brand with a company that's known for quality, Pokemon? It's the same, social, gameplay based game, it is nothing (for the west) like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, the fact that two games are in the same genre doesn't mean that they are the same sort of game (and you know what? I'll best that 90% of Pokemon players in the west don't even know they are playing a Role-Playing-Game.)"

They are still RPGs, so trying to exclude them is BS.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
