That shows you don't understand the term. "Correlation does not equal causality" is a logic notion. Look it up.
Nope, that shows that it is better to back up your opinion with Correlation, than backing your opinion with nothing.
"And so, how do you think Nintendo can attract all of these HD guys into the Wii and Xenoblade?"
I didn't mean just them, so focusing on just them in the comment is you, not me. But I'll answer. The mainstream HD gamers buy games, not graphics. Actually most gamers do. So make a game they like and they will buy it.
They also buy brands, FF got big in the west because of it's graphics, soundtrack and Sony's 100 million campaign, Kingdom Hearts got big in the west because FF+Disney = sales, now... DQ, got big in Japan because of the gameplay, but... it didn't get big in the west, guess why?
"I didn't bash them, I just said that I don't give a shit about them."
No, you phrased it in a way that claimed the mainstream is irrelevant. People really need to know the difference between "Who cares" and "I don't care" (even my mom falls into that trap). There is a difference.
Nope, I said that I don't give a shit about them, which means, guess what? I don't give a shit about them, you chose to interpert it however you wanted to.
"So you say that there should be no games for pepole like me? SMART!"
No. YOU are claiming I'm stating that. I'm stating that there is too much money to JUST appeal to people like you, not exclude you entirely.
Okay, so are you saying that since there are dozens of RPG games out this gen (and most of them are on the Wii), the creators of Xenoblade shouldn't apply to the RPG crowd?
"But... RPGs, outside of FF, KH and DQ, have never been mainstream |:"
Pokemon and World of Warcraft are classified as RPGs, so you really need to do some research.
Warcraft is a MMORPG, it isn't a solitary, story based experience, it's a social, gameplay based game that's based on a huge brand with a company that's known for quality, Pokemon? It's the same, social, gameplay based game, it is nothing (for the west) like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, the fact that two games are in the same genre doesn't mean that they are the same sort of game (and you know what? I'll best that 90% of Pokemon players in the west don't even know they are playing a Role-Playing-Game.)
