I use rechargeable Panasonic NiMH AAs with my Wiimote (not that Panasonic is better than the competition or anything. I just have a good experience with them thus far). I bought a Quick Charge Kit (the charger + one battery) for my Xbox 360 wireless controller because the Duracell AA rechargeables I had were too fat for my Xbox 360 controller's battery slots (no joke. lol). And I didn't feel like buying a new charger and a different brand of batteries, only to risk those not working well with the 360 controller as well. So I just bought the first-party Quick Charge Kit for $30 for the 360 controllers.

But when I got the Wii, I was thinking, "man I'm going to take my chances with the rechargeables. I don't want a docking station taking up space." So I got the Panasonic ones and I haven't had a problem with those. Maybe Duracell just sucks or something. I don't know. lol.

Whut?

AAs should all be the same size, the X360 battery slot must be really tight for such tiny differences.

My Panasonic rechargeable AAs were able to fit just fine in that 360 controller battery component. But my Duracell rechargeable AAs didn't. It's the oddest thing. My guess is the Duracell NiMH batteries had slightly more girth than usual and the Xbox 360 battery slot is unusually tight to begin with (every other battery I tried with the 360 controller worked though. I've used two Alkaline brands (Duracell and Energizer) in addition to those Panasonic NiMH batteries and they all fit into the 360 controller's battery slot. But not the Duracell NiMH ones.
