Are you really using multiplatform games as examples of multi monitor gaming over 60FPS? Tsk tsk, everyone knows multiplatform games look like ass, so it's a very moot point playing ass over 3 monitors.

In a multiplatform world, an HD 5870 is overkill for every game resolution available so why not run 3 monitors? Whether or not the games look like ass to you doesn't matter. Besides if most multiplatform games look like ass to you then most games look like ass.

You obviously have never thought about playing games with an ultra wide FOV because its more than just extra screen realestate, its using your peripheral vision and immersing yourself into the game in a completely new way. Once you've tried it you won't want to go back. Im sure though that had it been Nvidia with the technology you'd be all over it.

Nvidia has had the tech to do multi monitors for a while now. I really havent seen a reason to even upgrade my monitor. Its one of the best Acer ever made.
