I don't pirate but I can't afford every game new. I often wait for a price cut. Red Steel 2 and NHM2 will eventually be owned by me but first I want SMG2 and Metroid other M. I am considering monster hunter tri on he grounds that some friends are getting it. If they do I might get it much sooner. really, I just don't want a lot of "core" third party wii games at 50 dollars. I would be more inclined to believe that the core third party games have sluggish sales due to "purchase rationing" the core gamerrs that stuck with the wii as their primary console might have loyalty to Nintendo, and be more likey to save money for a nintendo purchase than buy a third party they have less history with.

Yeah you might as well wait on Red Steel 2 and NMH2 until they hit $30 or less. Or rent the game if you are certain you can beat it within the rental period. If you have a rental subscription, definitely rent this one. I just finished renting NMH2. I beat it on mild in 5 days. Gonna send it back because I don't like the game enough to want to play it again on Bitter. NMH2 was too tedious in many parts. The Shinobu stages give me nightmares (Suda51 should be banned from making platforming games). And the boss battle gimmicks in NMH2 pissed me off. And the game just didn't have the charm of the original. Considering the "to be continued" at the end of NMH1, the sequel probably was planned from the start. But I don't know, it felt like NMH2 was a cash-in. Gamers complained that NMH1 was too basic and repetitive. So Suda51 added a whole bunch of different gameplay elements (Shinobu platforming stages *shudders*) and gimmicks to mix things up. And honestly I felt those different gameplay elements and gimmicks took away from the game.

I'm going to rent Red Steel 2 as well. I bought Wii Motion+ seperately for $20 instead of getting the Red Steel 2 Wii Motion+ Bundle.

I can understand why Wii gamers want to wait for these third-party games to hit the bargain bin. Wii gamers are much more patient than Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers so they don't mind waiting some months for the prices to drop. Whereas the high-profile Nintendo first-party games tend to remain at full price for years. This hype thing is all an illusion really. I remember really wanting to play FF13 when it first came out because of all the hype that came with its release. But then a couple weeks later, the hype died and all of a sudden my interest in trying out the game died down. Hype is so artificial like that.
