My cousin's roommate has homebrew for Wii, he's got a bunch of old Genesis, SNES, NES, and N64 games. It's pretty cool, but the damn thing doesn't even work half the time. I would try to hack my Wii but I'm afraid I'd brick it, plus I don't think you can ever update your system or go online. Although I do have 2 Wiis, (one for me in my room, and the community Wii in the basement for Wii Fit and such), so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try it on one.
I admittedly have a homebrewed PSP with some PSP games, SNES games, and a couple Playstation games. Most of the games I already own, I just couldn't help but try out a handheld Secret of Mana. Though I think I'm going to un-hack it (so to speak) and sell it on amazon, as I don't really use it much anymore, and I could really use the money.

wait... you can't play online or update?
but someone here said you can, also I read that
But the only reason I said I'll keep it is because someone said it is safe to play online, is it a lie?

Yes, you can go online, use the Wii shop and update your Wii, but unless the Homebrew Channel is updated to work with the new Wii update then the Wii update will probably delete your Homebrew Channel. And make your Wii go into self-destruct mode if you're unlucky
