Well I will be getting the black one since I have never bought a wii. I have been waiting for it to accumulate more games that cater to the hardcore and now nintendo has them with titles like metroid other m, the last story, xenoblade, zelda wii, mario galaxy 2 etc on the horizon.
When there's a choice I will always get the shiny/glossy black because I just like the color. That's why I would never trade in my 60gb ps3 phat for a slim it just looks so much better in my opinion and has better features like full backwards compatibility with the ps2 and ps1.
