the slim looked different and changed some features , same for DSi , PSPGo , PS2 Slim, PSOne.

whats different about Black Wii?

A coloured revision of a console makes it more visible for the consumer ---- it catches the attention of the mainstream + bundled with a Motion+ and Wii Sports Resorts, which had brought it near 300$... I think it's a great value pack.

And with the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2, which I believe is a system seller, the new Black Wii Pack bundle with WSR will help moving some hardware.
