Worst comes to worst, you somehow screw it up royally and buy the Black Wii.

The LED isn't always red either. As mentioned you could have it blue if you wish.

It is also really hard to mess up case replacements. In most cases it is a 10 minute job.

But the official black Wii keeps the sexy blue light!
