I think it's very believable. It's been the same game for the last 24. Even 24 years of bombarding a game genre with the same game is enough to slow down sales of everything, but the big names.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
