If you don`t mind the fact that a new DS (3DS) is coming out within a year, then go for it. The DS is bloody awesome. You`ve got a shitload of Jrpgs, a nice helping of point-and-click adventure games (I`ve been mainly playing these), your standard Nintendo fare (Mario, Zelda, Metroid) and all kinds of good stuff `casual` and `core`alike. Anti-Nintendo haters constantly spout the mantra that the DS is kiddie but they really don`t know shit.
