Do you realize that once the games start flowing for the PS3 they'll also be flowing (and much better) for the 360? Do you realize that the 360 will always be cheaper than the PS3? Did you read the thread about Halo 3 preorders? 

I think most people who want Halo 3 has already bought the console .

I realize the games have alredy being flowing for the X360 for some months (although we are in something as a software drought ) and saw the sales of the console then .

 Price drops are less and less meaningful in the lower end .To explain better this ,right now the PS3 has access to a very small demographic wanting to spend 600 into a games machine .The demographics for spending 400 are way greater ,and the 250 price tag of the Wii grants access to the mass market nearly ..that acces would be about 180-200.The PS3 can gain access to more demographics that the X360 according to price drops ,the X360 already has many of these and still can outsell the PS3 by much .In fact ,worlwide the PS3 is outselling the X360 .
