GOTY thread at an early May - priceless.
So far the serious GOTY contenders (meaning that they actually have a shot):
Mass Effect 2
God of War 3
Upcomming titles with the potential:
Starcraft II (best rts bitches!)
Halo Reach (can't screw this up, it's Halo)
Alan Wake (pretty sure this game will be meta AAA)
Red Dead Redemption ("black horse", hope so, but doubt it)
But there may be many unannounced titles, or titles without release date. (TLG / sequels to successful new IP's)
I don't believe that any Nintendo title have a real shot at GOTY. SMG2 is SMG 1.5 and while great, not revolutionary anymore. Metroid looks interesting, but also not revolutionary. Maybe Zelda has a chance to spice things up, but it's too far down the road to even speculate about it.
