Not a chance, Sony owns europe and japan, and is now even on par and surpassing the 360 in NA, tjhat will only get worse for MS.

it is?... last time I checked it was over 9 million behind...

why?

It's so funny reading your arguments Kowenicki. Sony is 9 million behind in the US, but can more than make up the difference (and so far has) in other regions. Even if Sony does not "win" over the American market share (which admittedly doesn't seem reasonable) it can still make up the difference in sales in both Europe and Japan. I do believe WW the PS3 is only behind a little over 5 mil, which this thread is asking.

Sony's biggest problem with winning over NA at this point in time is the apparent console shortages. If it can solve that it should at least hold even with M$ the rest of this generation. Sales trends show that when PS3 is stocked it runs within 5K + / - 360 sales in NA region. This would keep that gap from widening and also make it negligable when week over week it continues to outperform in the other two regions. It doesn't take very much foresight to see that as a plausible scenario.

Sony is a threat to M$ and it doesn't need NA to win.
