I agree with you, most XBox 360 owners are FPS fans (due to games like Call of Duty, BioShock and Gears), so releasing a game like Halo 3 will do very well amongst its userbase as will other 3D shooters like Mass Effect. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were the original XBox' most important games, so I think it's not much of a surprise. The Wii has a much larger percentage of yound kids and females playing, while PS3 and XBox 360 is preferred by older teen and mature males according to surveys......

I don't think I called Gears a FPS in this thread, but IMO the game appeals to FPS fans for sure. It the game has a lot in common with a FPS apart from viewpoint, Uncharted differs far more.

You didn't call it a FPS directly. Although it was implied in the first line of the post that quoted you on. So I apologize for assuming that you called it an FPS directly. That said, Mass Effect isn't a 3D shooter. It is an RPG.

@Kn, there are differen't classes in Mass Effect and you can become in proficient in Sniper rifles with a few of them. I will be honest with you though. Sniping in Mass Effect isn't every effective initially. Once you put points into your sniping and get a hold of some good weapon mods (Kinetic Coils/Stabilizers) it become extremely effective. On several of the uncharted planet missions I was able to wipe out all my enemies with out them so much as sniffing my position. Mass Effect is awesome. I have completed it twice and I'm ready to start my third playthrough.
