What? I think you should take a look at ALL other Monster Hunter openings in the region.

 

MHF opened to probably around 10K.

MHF2 opened to 16K.

Even MHFU opened to only 25K.

So how is nearly tripling the most successful MH's opening "disappointing"? And don't say userbase, Wii does not have triple the userbase MHFU launched on.

I guess you failed to look at the TIE ratio for PSP games in Europe.  Its doesnt take much to outsell PSP games, especially in Europe. 

And who was talking about excuses before? Hypocrite.

 

Ok, so how about the PS2 games? Monster Hunter Tri has had a MUCH bigger launch in Europe etc. than any Monster Hunter game in the past, just what standard are you going by when you claim the sales are "disappointing"?

And what data are you using for this claim?  Both Japanese releases of MH and MH2 (both on PS2) outsold Tri first week in Europe, Monster Hunter 2 was never released in the west and there is no data for Monster Hunter in the west (at least here on VGC). 

It's like saying that CoD:MW2 in west outsold Japan's sales! It's obvious, you can do whatever you want, for this gen Monster Hunter is bigger in Japan than in west, that can change just with many successful MH in west which can increase IP's popularity.

Actually MH3 out sold every console MH, so really there's no comparison in Japan, if not with PSP (with no free online, less users and a different, less hardcore userbase how in hell could someone think that MH3 would have sold 3+m LTD??).

As a Wii game MH3 is doing well, as a third party Wii game it is doing great, as a Monster Hunter it's doing great in west, so really, don't see how the FW sales could be seen as bad.
