Do we really need a Next Gen?

We will need new consoles by Christmas-2012 / early 2013 but not before then.

PS3 and 360 are still going strong sales wise but lets face it, they need more RAM, they need faster disk drives, 360 needs blu-ray support, PS3 needs a better OS, etc.
