There's plenty of new succesful franchises this generation, hopefully we will see more great new franchises (next up I can think of Alan Wake and Modnation Racers), and hopefully some franchises that didn't quite make it to over 1 million with their first iteration will come back stronger.
It's be interesting to point out which genres are best represented in new franchises this generation looking at my list (succesful ones at least). I'm not looking at it right now, but I think the only million-selling RPG franchise is Mass Effect, correct?
Which other genres have more bestsellers?
