Remember in Mario 64 there were no entry cinematic, nothing. They don't lack originality, it's just Mario. Zelda and Metroid have far more deepness in their stories.

So Uncharted does? A story with tons of stereotypes. 

 

Yes, Zelda and Metroid have really good stories and I don't feel the need of a story in Mario games, all I need is to play and have fun. Some games are designed like that.

Then, how on Earth is that so important to have a deep storyline for that game? The first one showed there is no need.

uncharted 2 has over 30 "oscars" i'm sure one of them is about the story.
