| Toddifer said: Ugh I feel old saying this but I don't understand Pokemon. My nephew is all about it (he's 10, so it makes sense), but I haven't really followed the whole phenomenon as it developed and spread, so I have some questions and want to be able to better relate to my nephew. What are the differences between the dual versions they release, like ex: HeartGold/SoulSilver? Are there differences, because I see their sales are always combined... |
The major differences between HeartGold and SoulSilver is that some of the pokemon are exclusive to one or the other version, A.K.A, you can only catch them in one version and if another person with the other version wants that pokemon, the only way to get it is by trading.
Other than that, since Pokemon Ruby/Saphire, that there have been legendary pokemon exclusive to each individual version. That doesn't apply completely to HeartGold/SoulSilver though, since you can catch both cover legendaries (Lugia and Ho-oh) on each game, though the story that revolves around each one will be more developed in one or the other (HeartGold for Ho-oh and SoulSilver for Lugia).
