That kind of thinking is fine for you and others who prefer fast paced over slower RPG combat, but obviously others prefer turn based for one reason or another.
For me personally I just want a RPG battle system to challenge me consistently. For TB RPG's this means making me think about every move I make so that I can't just wail on the attack command to beat 90% of the enemies out there. On the other hand Action RPG's should challenge me by requiring that I play skillfully. I find that most Action RPG's you can play through the majority of the fights without worrying about death in the slightest. Games like Kingdom Hearts sure the enemies do damage to you, but it's usually nothing that your companions can't heal you through.
So personally I've played many more TB RPG's that I've found consistently challenging and thus enjoyed (i.e. RoF, AT2, Persona 4, Disgaea 3) than I have Action RPG's so I usually prefer Turn-based.
