Nah, I don't.
If FFXIV has free online and a single player campaign it will sell very well. However, I doubt this will occur |
Well there is at least 3 ways to get a buy from me at least.
A: Free online with pay for DLC that is well worth it (At least 2+ hours of gameplay). With or w/o micro transactions within reason.
B: Pay for service like WoW with free DLC Bi-Weekly or Monthly (^See Above^). With or w/o micro transactions within reason.
C: Either A or B with awards that cannot be obtained by micro transactions. Big + if they do this.
D: A no buy is Pay-to-Play with crap loads of micro transactions for silly things that should be included ingame or only obtained by playing the game (not giving them money to cheat ahead). Plus making the player pay for DLC missions on top of it would piss me off and I beleive others off pretty good.
Let's hope SE doesn't try to milk this the wrong way. They can have my wallet, as long as they treat us fans right. It would be wise for SE cause the fans can either help boost the sales or bomb it. People on the fences (didn't want to say casual idk) usually come around to purchase after gamer word of mouth for something like this. But then again this might not have that certain charm that attracts the curious non-informed folk like FFXIII. Time will tell and if this doesn't perform to SE's expectations then this may be the last FF console MMO at least for a while.
Also a little user generated content or missions will be a big plus. I'll end with this as I already went too far into detail with this post lmao
