Metroid isn't all that exciting to me, so it doesn't really affect me too much..alot of non-metroid fans are buying into the hype they see on the internet for whatever reason, but I won't be jumping in that bandwagon anytime soon. I'm curious how well it will really do in the long-run, but I expect alot of reviews to praise it over simply being wow'd by the hype and cutscenes because they just want to love Metroid so freaking much this year. Nothing against the franchise personally, and I liked Super Metroid, but I'm tired of people over-loving Metroid just because they think it makes them look better as Nintendo fans. Not everyone is doing this obviously, not even most, but I've been seeing enough of it (IMHO) to say something about it.

Same here. I think is a cool franchise but this generation they give it more importance that it deserves <_<  It was never a huge franchise (the SNES one was quickly eclipsed by Donkey Kong Country and nobody knows it outside the hardcore gamers) and it was actually more of a niche one inside the Nintendo core. It never sold hardware and it won't this time.

But as long as the game is good I'll give it a try.
