If your on a Wireless connection with your PS3 it will take longer unless you have a certain router, if you are hard wired its very fast, yesterdays update took about 2 minutes to download and install, I really wish people would get over this other OS thing, the PS3 is a gaming console/ bluray player, not a labtop, Sony was doing for the right reason, not just to be assholes, Its not like Sonys making crap and releasing it on to the world for us to deal with, they were trying to make the network stronger from hacks. how dare they.
