@Contestgamer: Why should the games be watered down? If MGS3 and 4 were watered down, that just proves my point further; someone doesn't give a shit about the people who would be interested in buying the games.
The only reason why any art has become successful is that it managed to please the public.
In any case, the point is, why should anyone care if Kojima wants to be an artist or not, if he's not interested about them. Then again, the people interested in playing Kojima games in the future, better hope he's interested in gamers and his games turn out to comnercial successes. Otherwise the games stop coming. No publisher is interested in games that just "break even". Maybe he's going to make a free flash game or two, if he manages to flop hard.
