Probably not if they hurried up the Thor/Cap A/Avengers movies but they needed something to fill the gap.

And I'd personally blame X-men as that came first.

Hmmm. Can't beleive that X-Men skipped my mind. Personally I don't care for Iron Man. Never really have. Just my personal opinion
