Well I don't know about Ironman vs Morrigan (never played Darkstalkers), but the Hulk and Wolverine are basically indestructable in the Marvel world. So yes, I would say that both a) the Capcom characters are overmatched and b) comic book characters can be ridiculous at times. For example, apparently Wolverine has survived being in the center of an atomic explosion, and the Hulk has smashed an asteroid. |
Thanos could wipe both of them out of existance if he wanted, Juggernaut is completely invulnerable, more so then Hulk, and if they include Thor, which they should, he's a god.
Wolverine's recent writing has made him nigh on invincible because lazy writers don't know how to write a story about him that isn't him either killing someone or him getting badly hurt and recovering. The blast you are reffering to I think is after Civil War when he fights Nitro, a guy who is a Captain Mar-vell enemy (as in out of Wolverine's league as a guy who just murder's people to win). In it Nitro explodes and reduces Wolverine to nigh on anything but his 'healing' factor helps him recover. Of course it seems writers have forgotten that healing does not mean regeneration. As far as I always understood it (until recent years) it's like human body just extremely fast and good at healing. This has been ignored though to make him 'cool' since the movies, which has decharacterised him into a murderer and not heroic in comparison to any hero in the Marvel Universe....bar Deadpool.
You can kill him by removing his head from the rest of his body, skeleton might be unbreakable but tendons holding skeleton together are not.
And both Hulk and Wolverine can be knocked out.
Hmm, pie.
