I've gone through and added a few developers such as Cing, Indieszero, Suzac, Mistwalker, Paon and TOSE to the list as they have contributed Nintendo published titles and may continue to contribute titles in the future.
I've also tried to update 2010 as best as I can, if I've missed any games that are published by Nintendo let me know. I try to keep it as close as I can to development partners only but a big game is worthy of a mention.
I've also updated Unknowns and thoughts:
- Will the 3DS launch this year? I've assumed it will.
- Miyamoto is at work on two DS titles, one for home and one for a more social context. At least one is likely to launch in 2010, it is unknown which of Nintendo's internal teams will be taking up the development of the titles in question. These could actually be 3DS titles, titles not possible on the current hardware.
- If Nintendo plans to release the successor to the Wii in 2012, EAD Tokyo may not release another title this generation. My reasoning is simple really, Nintendo have confirmed HD support in their next home console, this means more power, which means a new engine for the next Mario platformer. Also I'm guessing they have ideas for where they want to take the game post-galaxy and will need a good amount of lead in time to prototype, brainstorm and design and develop the title. I'm quite sure they're already started to be honest as Galaxy 2 has been completed for some time (Miyamoto said it was ready to be launch in Q4 2009).
- Miyamoto has said he's working on a title apart from Zelda that uses Wii MotionPlus. Is it far along? Which team would be most suited to it?
- Retro have mentioned that this E3 could be where they show what they've been working on which means it'll release sometime between June 2010 and June 2011. Does it look too crowded this year?
- Project Sora was founded in January 2009, meaning they'll have had a year and a half to work on their project when E3 rolls around. Assuming a 2 year development cycle, will this year be the year they show their game?
